James R. Lucas, Ph.D. is a popular and provocative author, speaker, and recognized authority on leadership, culture, and organizational development. He is president and CEO of Luman International, a firm that for more than twenty years has worked with thousands of leaders to build passionate, thinking, pure-performance organizations.

Jim is the author of four other books on leadership, including High-Performance Ethics: 10 Timeless Principles for Next-Generation Leadership and Broaden the Vision and Narrow the Focus: Managing in a World of Paradox. He is an award-winning senior faculty member of the American Management Association, where he has taught its premier offering, the Course for Presidents.

Jim lives with his family in the Kansas City area. He and his wife, Pam, have four dynamic children.
